Live DVD Recording
It’s me, Blaze.
I am recording a new live DVD on the 23rd of September at De Rots in Antwerp. Come and be a part of the next Blaze Bayley DVD experience.
I have chosen to record the show at The Rots as it is one of the smallest gigs on my European Tour, the people are crazy and every time I have played there it has been a real event. My last two DVD’s have been great but they were big shows. This time I want to capture the intimate vibe, up close and personal with my fans. So it is made by my fans, for my fans and with my fans in mind. I will be performing one brand new song at the gig! After, we will be staying at the Rots to sample the collection of Belgian’s finest beers. Feel free to join us at the after party.
Everyone who sends in a picture of themselves with me from the show, will be mentioned in the credits and your picture might end up in the booklet of the DVD.
The whole show will be recorded with professional equipment. If you want to bring your own camcorders or phones to help us make this a really special DVD, send us your recordings as we will try to include it somewhere on the double DVD that will be released in March 2012!
The DVD will have extra’s like interviews, backstage footage, acoustic songs and many other things.
For those who want to make a weekend of it, look out for hotel details on the website forum.
Hope to see you all there! I am really looking forward to this!

first of all thanks again for all the wonderful messages of support I have received in the last few days. The mental, financial and emotional strain of keeping the Blaze Bayley Band together has proven to be too much for me and has taken a terrible toll on my mental health. As a result of that, I have had to split with the Blaze Bayley Band, now I am just Blaze Bayley, a soloartist and also the lead singer of Wolfsbane. Since Anna and Larry left the Blaze Bayley Band, we've tried to do everything ourselves and for me it has been too much. Without a proper manager coordinating concerts, touring, festivals, promotion, record releases and all the finances, it's too much to cope with.
Now I've finally taken this incredibly difficult decision, I feel I can breathe again. It has been an upsetting, frustrating and sad time because the Blaze Bayley Band will not be going on any more, but it is also for me a huge relief and a time to look forward. I wish David, Nico and Jay every succes with their future projects and like to thank them for their loyalty, commitment and sharing their musical talent on The Man Who Would Not Die and Promise and Terror. They are arguably two of the best metal albums I have ever made. We have made a live album and a DVD and I am immensly proud of all of those things as well as the incredible concerts we have played to fans all over the world.
I apologize to my UK fans for postponing the upcoming tour. We are still in the process of rearranging all the dates that we can to happen in December. The shows I have booked with Wolfsbane will all go ahead. Also, all the festivals I have booked will go ahead with different musicians.
I have a lot of plans that I am very excited about for the future and on top of that I am expecting my first child to be born in September.
Look out for me popping up in different places all over Europe in the summer, because I am still available and being booked for festivals and guest appearances. The first two weeks of September is my unplugged acousticUK tour with Jase Edwards from Wolfsbane, called the 'Blaze and Jase: The incredible tour'. The full dates will be announced in the next few weeks. After that there will be a week of European full metal shows.
I am going to the USA in October and November for my first ever headline tour since Iron Maiden. I will look forward to seeing all the Blaze Bayley fans over there. After that, the new wolfsbane album comes out.
Next year, I am planning to do my first acoustic unplugged album with mostly new songs and that should come with an Unplugged World Tour. I'm planning to start work on my next full metal album in 2013.
Thank you so much everyone for being there for me through these difficult years and for your continued support, thank you for being my blood and belief.
Dear fans,
Due to financial and medical reasons I’ve been forced to part ways with the band .
I will give a full statement in the next few days about my future plans.
I hope that all my fans will keep on supporting me in my further projects.
The English dates will be postponed to December but the festivals in Germany, Sweden, Lithuania and the show in Istanbul will definitely proceed!
BB
Unfortunately we had to cancel 2 gigs. We had all the bad luck that someone can imagine while we were on the road. Broken towen hook, broken lamps, battery problems, broken car, problems to find a replacement van, broken wheel on the trailer. The glamourlife of the artist!
We want to apologise to our fans but if this isnt the "Force Majeure"...
We are on our way now to our friends in "De Rots" in Antwerp now. We're going to stay there for a few days now for 2 reasons : 1) The place rocks 2) It is the best place geographicaly for the next few days.
Hope to see you all on the next shows starting tomorrow at the sold out Wizzfest!
After many hackingattempts we are proud to be back in full force!
The website has been re-coded to avoid hackers & a new forum has been installed with
the same layout as the previous one. We were able to restore most of the topics
& messages but lost those from wednesday & thursday.
We were working on a new webshop as well & the hacking attempts made us decide
to
launch the new shop a bit earlier than expected. The new shop will have much more features compared to the previous one such as gift vouchers, digital distribution,...
We are testing the Digital Distribution now and we decided to release a digital version of an acoustic show from 2007 who was recorded by one of our fans. The release contains 11
tracks, and will only be available for a limited period. Grab it while you can!
the scheduled gigs for next weekend will not go through because of blaze's medical
problems. We are still trying to get them rescheduled as soon as possible
UPDATE : The gig at "Chez Paulette" is moved to saturday 17th of september.
UPDATE 2 : The gig at Arras is moved to Friday 16th of september
Due to high demand we will be auctioning the test pressings of the vinyl together with the Tour Workshirt that Blaze has been wearing on stage for the Man Who Would Not Die Tour. This will come with a framed picture signed by Blaze and with a personal note from Blaze. We will provide more details and a link to the auction tomorrow. There is only one test pressing so this is the only chance to get hold of it!
The gig in Rosario has been canceled because the airline canceled our flight. We are deeply sorry to all our fans who were waiting at the venue. The gig in Buenos Aires will go ahead so we are hoping that some fans from Rosario will be able to come to Buenos Aires where there will be a signing session after the show. We hope we will be able to play in Rosario on the next South American Tour.
Many fans could not get through the snow to make it to the Big Bash in December. If you bought a ticket for that show but you couldnt make it there because of the weather you can use your original & unused ticket from the Big Bash for the Nuneaton gig on 24 of February!
You can follow the South American adventures in the tourdiary!

"Maiden For Life" Charity
The Blaze Bayley Band is proud to announce their support by donating a few albums and other merchandise for one of Belgium's biggest charities "Music For Life" from Belgium number 1 rockradiostation "Studio Brussel".
Because this year 'Music For Life' is all about children, because Iron Maiden has a 'Children Of The Damned' song and because the family Dewolf-Rombaut are running a child friendly B&B in the Maagdenstraat (Maidenstreet) they decided to create a 'Maiden For Life' arrangement from Monday 20 December to Wednesday 22 December 2010.
This arrangement contains 2 overnight stays (full board) and some activities that we named after Iron Maiden songs (Run To The Hills, Fear Of The Dark…), dinner is a maiden menu (A Real Dead One…) and of course only maiden music during your stay, even during the 'heavy' breakfast!
For each room there will be a Blaze Bayley fan-package including a tshirt, a patch, a wristband, a dvd & a signed copy of the latest album "Promise & Terror".
There are 4 rooms, 3 of which are family rooms, that will be available for the good cause of 'Music For Life'. All benefits that come from this action will go to 'Music For Life' (Music for Life helps orphans from South Africa who lost their parents to AIDS)
Due to the fact that there are only 4 rooms available you can book this arrangement by outbidding other interested guests starting from 10/10/10 at 10am. Biddings will end on 10/12/12 at 12am.
New dates in Belgium, Holland & Sweden for the end of this year & for 2011 are confirmed!! Many more dates will be added very soon!

A letter from Blaze
"Hello,
it's me, Blaze. Sometimes I like to reach out to fans on a more personal level, to let you know what is going on with the band and the tour and our shop.
So far this year, things have been just mental. I would not have thought in February when we started the "Promise And Terror Tour", that so many big things could happen to us. The sadness and confusion felt by all of us when Larry decided to leave the band. The difference of opinion with manager Anna about the priority's for the next months that made her decide to leave. The incredible support from fans all over the world through those difficult times. On the tour so far we have played to more people in more countries and sold more CDs and merch than the whole of the last album tour. Thank you everyone for making that happen.
Now we are in rehearsal for part two of the "Promise And Terror Tour". We are changing the set list for the second part of the tour. The four songs that form the second part of the album and tell the story, we are planning to play together as one piece during our headline shows. We don't know if it will work but that's what we are attempting to do. As well as that we are bringing another couple of songs from the BLAZE band era and rehearsing "The Truth Is One" from the "The Man Who Would Not Die" album. If it works it will be the first time we have performed that song since we recorded it.
I have spoken to a lot of fans who are interested in vinyl. We would like to bring out "The Man Who Would Not Die" as a limited edition double album with gate fold sleeve. Before we go ahead with the pressing we need to know how many people would be interested in buying it. We need to sell about 500 to make it possible to do a limited edition. If that works then every new release will come out as a limited edition vinyl as well as our regular CD. We think it would cost about 20 pounds.
The next new release from the band should be a live album. Each tour we like to record the live set as a kind of memento of what we were doing and because the songs start to take on a new life and meaning when we play them a lot on tour. We are planning to record most of our next South American tour in January and have it available by April 2011. We are working on a couple of new songs just for the live album. Jay has done most of the work designing all the new merch that is available to order now from the shop and will be with us on the tour. We hope you like it as much as we do. Where ever we can we will be available to sign stuff before or after the gigs on the upcoming tour. If you have a big collection of things that you would like signed then please email us and tell us what gigs you can get to and if its possible we will try to make time before the gig to get that done. But please only your own personal collection not things for ebay.
Thanks to everyone who has emailed us with details of local venues to play and local promoters. If any of you would like to see us play in your local venue, then please send us details of the venue and the person responsible for booking bands and we will try and add that venue to one of our future tours.
We haven't yet decided on a full time replacement drummer or new manager. Things seem to be going very well for us right now with Claudio from Italy on the drums and managing most things ourselves with help from a few friends in the business. We thank you so much for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you out there somewhere on part 2 of the "Promise And Terror World Tour"."
Cheers

A statement of the band:
Larry is no more member in the band and Anna dropped the management.
First of all our apologies for not coming out with this news first, but we are on road and didn't have the opportunity to do so. This will only be a short statement as we are facing a 12hours drive today to Moscow.
We would like to reassure you that this will not change anything for the band. We are going on with finishing the gigs that are booked and new bookings are still coming through. All recordingplans for the next album stay on as well as all other plans for the future.
We have temporarily found a good, talented replacement drummer in Claudio, so hope that the fans will support him as well.
So far we have had incredible reactions on this tour and hope that you will keep on supporting us as you have done in the past.
The webshop is currently offline but work is already in progress to get it back running as soon as possible. Once it is back on, we will send an update.
Hope to see you all on the road soon!
