TOURDIARY

12 hours to Cleveland. It's another long one today. It took us 24 hours to get from Baltimore to St. Paul and we arrived at 2pm just in time for load in. Today we are going from St. Paul to Cleveland. A big thank you to all you crazy headbanging bastards that came out to support me on a freezing cold wednesday night. I really enjoyed the gig. The hospitality of all the staff at the venue was great. A shout out to Rene who looked after me and got me some milk and mega fan Michel who got me some socks.

The Baltimore gig was a halloween theme and though a bit confusing to find it ended up being a really fun night with some highly amusing and downright indecent costumes, scarry cup cakes and 3 pretty happening new bands.

Then 24 hours to St. Paul, now 12 hours to Cleveland. We should be checking in to the hotel at about 3am. It is a lot of long drives but it's the only way to keep the costs of the tour down, so I can actually do a tour of the USA and play for the fans I've waited so long to see.

My voice is doing ok. it was very tired at the baltimore show but last night in stpaul it feelt a lot stronger and my fans said wonderfull things about my singing, that im not sure i desearve , but thank you so much for your support and the possitive energy you bring to every gig.

The flying Plester!
At one point in the St. Paul show it seemed to me that my lead guitarist Rick Plester jumped of the stage and cleared a 5 foot gap between the stage and the crowd control barrier, landed on his feet while still playing his guitar. He then barged his way in the front of the crowe and started headbanging while smiling like a psychopath in shelter for battered women... Then he ran through the audience and the bar and made it back on to the stage for the last chord of the song. This guy is an absolute nutcase and so fits perfectly into my American touring band! *LOL* In another part of the set, while playing Two Worlds Collide, he claimed his guitar was taken over buy invisible aliens who came from the Scientology centre that was only two blocks away from the venue. There was certainly something weird about the way he played the middle section of the song... *LOL*

Later I went to a traditional American diner called MICKEY's after the show instead of the usual kebab or Indian food I go for in Europe. Really cool. It's been in a couple of films, so it had a nice feeling of deja-vu. Luxury bed in the hotel but the sink was blocked or at least very slow to drain. The shower was good, and I managed to get my shaver charged up with an adaper from Radio Shack that Mike the guitarist from my backing band sorted out for me. I had to use a free bic razor from the kind people at reception to have a shave before the show, because the shaver wasn't quite ready. Only a few small cuts on my face... *LOL*

Not much else to report. We left the spare wheel for the trailer behind in Springfield and the left turn signal on the trailer had be repaired by us, well, Rick, but I watched closely to make sure he was doing it right. so far so good so long...

Oh and I was wondering what you think about sacrificing live animals on stage. Is that good or bad for metal?

See you in Cleveland...

Thank you Baltimore...

Some stuff from St. Paul...
